The thing about this movie is a shame for the only reason that we have not been able to find a version in Castilian and not only dubbed, of course there is not, but with Castilian subtitles that unfortunately as we say we could not find it like this, that it is time to see it in the original version although I already tell you, that you will not miss a great quality of dialogues either.
Andy Sidaris is something like the Russ Meyer of action cinema. His films are starring actresses who in many cases made themselves known in Palyboy or Penthouse, who play characters that are mixed in some absurd spy plot dotted with no less absurd action scenes. The best of his films is probably Hard Ticket to Hawaii (Andy Sidaris, 1987).
Donna (Dona Speir) and Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton) work as pilots in Hawaii. Donna is also an undercover agent for The Agency and Taryn is in the witness protection program. The two of them accidentally intercept a diamond payment to a drug dealer. Donna and Taryn will have to dismantle the drug trafficking operation and face enemy spies hidden on the island. But they will not fight alone: they will receive the help of agents Rowdy Abilene (Ronn Moss) and Jade (Harold Diamond). In addition to all this mess, a dangerous infectious deadly snake has been released by Hawaii killing anyone who crosses it.
As you can see from the plot, Hard Ticket to Hawaii could be a simple action movie, but the genius of screenwriter and director Andy Sidaris makes it an absurd spectacle that is easily digested thanks to the comedy tone that Sidaris tells us the history. And the kind of absurdity I am referring to is that which includes an agent who is unable to hit the target unless he shoots with a bazooka and terrible weapons like murderous Frisbees, not to mention the subplot of the murderous snake. The humorous tone helps that the abundant and free nudes do not turn the film into something sordid, the kind of film that forces you to shower after watching it. This also applies to violence and blood, which is filmed in the same spirit of fun.
I can’t say that this is objectively a good movie, but you laugh so much with it that it’s hard not to recommend it. In addition, the beautiful cast apart from showing its generous curves, acts quite well, and the action scenes are very entertaining. This movie is a perfect example of what guilty pleasure is, emphasis on pleasure. Possibly, we can face the best worst funny movie of the B series.
