Tamzin Brown was born in Bath, England. At age 17 she moved to London where from 2004-2007 she studied acting at ‘The London School Of Film, TV & Radio’, ‘Kensington & Chelsea College’, ‘The City Lit’ and comedic acting at ‘The Old Vic’ (the famed London theatre directed by Kevin Spacey).
In 2007 she moved to Los Angeles to study film at Santa Monica College. She later enrolled at ‘Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre’ and continues to study in Los Angles with private coaches.
In 2010 Tamzin was cast in feature film ‘Gemini Rising’ (starring Lance Henricksen) from which she obtained her screen actors guild (SAG) eligibility.
In 2011 Tamzin was cast in Harmony Korine’s ‘Caput’. The movie was created as part of ‘Rebel’, an exhibition created by James Franco, presented by MOCA. After the making of the ‘Caput’ James Franco auditioned and cast Tamzin as the lead in ‘Bungalow 2’. Tamzin played an abstract portrayal of Natalie Wood in the feature length art film exploring the myths and rumors surrounding the behind the scenes politics of ‘Rebel Without A Cause’.
Between 2011-2013 Tamzin played roles in various independent movies and James Franco cast her in three additional short films, three fashion film campaigns (‘Gucci’ and ‘Seven For All Mankind’) and in his directorial feature ‘Bukowski’. She also co-directed an art short entitled ‘The Bee’s’ with Dori Oscowitz and produced and starred in a short film entitled ‘White’ directed by Dean Loxton.
Tamzin is currently filming as the female lead in ‘Tableau Vivant’, a feature film directed by Kyle Broom. Following this she is scheduled to begin filming as the female lead in ‘The Divine Order’ directed by Patrick O’Bell.
Tamzin also studied Art and design at Oxford college, Art and Photography at Camberwell College, London, as well as film studies at SMC, Los Angeles.
